The 15th Annual Maple Syrup Festival
15 years...an amazing accomplishment and the members of the Festival committee embrace this year as we have all other years. We wonder - what will the weather bring? Will visitors come? What have we forgotton? What new hiccups will we have?
The planning for this year is moving right along. The Free Masons and Legion members will be doing All Day Pancakes dripping with syrup, the Lions will tempt all with their incredible Bacon on a Bun and our own Firefighters will provide appetizing sausage on a bun and hamburgers. Gable Bros. will be here to give you your first ride of the year, the vendors and artisans for the Craft show are signing up and the trees at Harlaine are ready to produce sap.
New this year will be an Art show at the Townhall on Saturday - highlighting the work of local artists. We are pleased to welcome the Timbersport Chainsaw competitors and look forward to seeing their amazing show. We are also pleased to announce that the Haliburton Woodcarvers will be attending and doing a Maple Syrup relief carving.
As a Committee we are fortunate to have a town of dedicated volunteers behind us. These people are always there when we need them and willing to do whatever is necessary. Not only do they do the job but they do it smiling and happy, welcoming visitors to our event.
On behalf of the Committee I invite you to come to our Festival March 27th and 28th and enjoy all that we have to offer.
